Here comes another car simulator, I think we already had one before, right? Is this one better? We’ll find out soon... Car Service Simulator is a new game released on August 29, 2025, developed and published by Red Axe Games.
When you first time open the game there is no story really, but that's fine, not a big deal, you just have your workshop and your car. You have to name your workshop, which is pretty normal, but the game has really strange movement, you move really fast, you can of course slow down your mouse speed, but you still gonna move really fast, which was for me hard to accept at start. Seriously, it felt really weird and not comfortable at all, the game is still in early access, so there is possibility they gonna change it, right?...right?
After I eventually accepted the movement, it was time for the fun and main part of this game, right?! So fixing cars! And there was a part which I didn't expect really, I had to wash the cars first! I love cleaning games, so I was interested, I always love to clean everything I can, so I knew it might be my favourite part, but actually... it wasn't.. the cleaning was... okay? There was a lot of visual issues, you basically have to put first on your car some kind of... soap? But there were a lot of spots where the soap didn’t show up properly, like “empty” visual places, and if you have OCD it might be annoying, and... I don't have OCD, and even for me it was not a pleasure to look at. After that, it's easy, you just use water, that's all.
Each client tells you what they need, and you slowly unlock new parts of your workshop, so you can start to do more things, like changing oil. Later you get access to more tools, like a hammer, which you can use to remove broken parts or fix dents in the car. It’s not super realistic, but it adds some variety to the tasks.
Your workshop is pretty big, and you unlock everything from the PC. Also, I had a moment when I was lost, the tutorial was pretty short and I won't lie, it didn't teach me much, but everything your client needs is on the PC, so if you get lost, just go to the PC and check what you had to do. Also, even if it's not a popup and you feel really lost because things are not clear enough, if you press Caps Lock there is a tutorial, which I didn't bother much with, I eventually found out alone how to do everything, but it's a good thing to know.
The cars are really, really, really bright colors, it was almost hurting my eyes how bright and weird they were. And yeah... I think I forgot to mention you need to drive the cars, right? It felt so weird, almost like driving on ice. I really didn't like to drive there at the start and let's say if you broke your hammer, you also had to drive to the "shop", which was just an NPC with a lot of stuff, not even a building, just an open area, but getting there with a car wasn't really pleasant. I would rather use my legs to get there...
You can upgrade your workshop slowly, and you also have skill points! You get them a bit slow at the start, but that's fine, we are not here to speedrun, right? But I kinda felt like I wanted to speedrun... You can also use some... decorations... yeah... let's skip this part, not worth mentioning. The game also sometimes crashed for a bit, but it only happened to me while cleaning my car and looking in a specific direction. The rest of the game was working okay.
I can't recommend the game, I didn't really like it. I believe it was mostly because of the movement, it didn't feel good at all. It was too fast, too weird, and definitely too bugged. But it has potential, and if they fix all the bugs and improve the movement, it could still be a decent game. For now, it just feels clunky and buggy, so I didn't really finish the game either. Maybe later it's much better? I won't find out unless things improve and i don't even wanna at this moment, I just don't think the game is ready yet at all.
