The Magic of E3 vs Reality
Hello everyone and welcome back from the Electronic Entertainment Expo!Let's get to the topic right here!As usual we saw impressing showcases of games that make you wish your wallet was a bit bigger to buy them all. But what can we actually expect? What is going to be realised the way it was shown and what is going to be another fake that was just sugarcoated to show off. Well, as always we can not really know beforehand what is going to be exactly how we've seen it, but nevertheless, experience has shown that most likely nothing is going to be
E3 The Conferences - Sony Playstation
Closing the conference schedule was Playstation's offering or, as they now call it, their E3 Media Showcase. Despite some technical difficulties, on Twitch at least, what was shown was strong. And this was "all about the games" once again, with no presentations by developers, only Shaun Layton appearing to welcome everyone and close out. But what was shown?Kicking off the show was a triple header, Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds and a gameplay trailer of Days Gone. Showing off using the environment to work in your favor there was, unfortunately, no release date given.Monster Hunter World,
E3 The Conferences - Ubisoft
A Ubisoft E3 press conference without Aisha Tyler hosting, can it work? What made the Ubisoft conference stand out in the past become a by the numbers reveal show. But were the games reveals any good?A strong start, with Yves Guillemot and Shigeru Miyamoto sharing the stage to show off Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle. A tactical RPG for the Nintendo Switch releasing on the 29th August.Assassin's Creed: Origins got another trailer with a gameplay feature promised after the conference. No further information than had already been provided during Microsoft's conference was forthcoming.South Park: The Fractured But Whole, The Crew 2,
E3 The Conferences - Bethesda & Devolver Digital
Bethesda's turn now and, well, it felt kind of a disappointment after Microsoft's reveals. The talking point here was the reveal of the Creation Club, an in-game mod database for Fallout 4 and Skyrim: Special Edition on the three main platforms, PS4, Xbox and PC. The problem is that the FAQ wording states "credits' would be used for acquiring individual mods. Is this a return to paid mods that went down so well on Steam? Hopefully more details will be made available soon. You can read the FAQ here.As it was leaked a few hours earlier by some Reddit ads, this announcement
E3 The Conferences - Microsoft Xbox
So here it is. Microsoft's Project Scorpio is officially The Xbox One X. Boasting true 4k resolutions, or super sampling if you do not own a 4k television yet, this liquid cooled beast of a console will be released November 7th for $499.Backwards compatibility was addressed for both the new and existing consoles. The Xbox One X will be fully compatible with all existing Xbox One titles, offering a power boost to boot. But the Xbox One was not left behind. Original Xbox titles are in the works with Crimson Skies being name dropped. But, what about games. Microsoft outdid themselves this

Glad to hear! The rewind feature is a great idea, but, unfortunately, we rejected it in the early stages of development. Not sure if it was the right decision : )
Your article helps with understaning what impression the game makes. Thanks and good luck you too with your efforts!

Thank you for the compliment, I have enjoyed this brain-teaser quite a bit, well done! Curious to see what those ideas will be, I'm hoping one of them to be the rewind feature. Good luck for the launch!

Thank you. I'm sure you could probably tell from reading the article, but Out of Sight is a game that feels particularly personal for me, partly due to my state while playing it, but also because I had been waiting for a Prey sequel for years and will likely be waiting forever.
I hope I was able to keep my objectivity - I tried!
I would love to return to Prey sometime for a review.
I'll have to see if I can track down a copy when I'm done with my current projects.

As someone who also loved the original Prey but tried hard and failed to enjoy the 2017 release (not a bad game, just not for me), I thought this article was really well written. Maybe one day you'll consider doing a retro review of the original?

UPDATE: There are now 100 products in the Trove. Of course, the majority of these are smaller or novelty titles, as there's no way to purchase OP points and fraud up to now basically cut away the little profit we made from things like quests or ads, they're essentially reskinned giveaways, so there's only so much we can list for "purchase" there.
The store will include both Trove and standard products, so is the place to look for any more premium games you might want - but again, as per the article, this is majorly being stripped back and will hold limited titles moving forward.September 20, 2023 -

The Trove had already been cut back, the store is where the bulk of the work needs to be done as this can't be done automatically like we could with the Trove.
That said, we expect to be able to add more to the Trove once the store work has been completed so it should actually increase a little.
