De Blob Review
Today I review a game called De Blob which is a 3D platformer made by Blue Tongue Entertainment. These ink punks aren’t about that color life, so it’s up to you to spice the world back up again… free the worlds artists, and bring the 10 different stages back to life. This game was originally released on Wii in 2008 and is finally coming to the ps4, pc, and Xbox one nearly 10 years later, and while the gameplay holds up, standards have changed and the experience isn’t as great as it once was. De Blob starts out really clever and charming, You’re a
Disputed Space Review
Here's a review about a game that is more of a "let's play it for a few minutes and forget about it" then a normal game.Disputed Space is a fast-paced arcade action game, not a realistic simulator. Players pilot a small fighter ship that can fly in any direction (including backwards) while blasting enemy ships with lasers and missiles. That is what is written on their Steam page, and unfortunately, that's it... that is the whole game. It feels like something you would play in an Arcade 20 years ago, just try to get the highest score. I understand it's an
Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide Review
Got bored of Left 4 Dead? You want to play something new but you just can't find that one game that fits your needs? Well, look no further because here is a review of Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide. The End Times are a prophesied apocalypse that will result in the destruction of the Warhammer fantasy world, as depicted in a series of novels and role-playing books. Dark portents are everywhere, with massive armies of monsters marching against the civilized Warhammer people. Whether the citizens like it or not, all they can do is fight to forestall the inevitable. As a result of
JCB Pioneer: Mars Review
It's time for another review - this time it's about a new survival game JCB Pioneer: MarsJCB Pioneer: Mars is a survival game set, of course, on Mars. You’ve been sent as one of the first pioneers to colonize the Red Planet and make it sustainable for human life but something’s gone very wrong. Your landing pod crashed, your base is in tatters, the planet’s trying to kill you, and you’re on your own. There’s a basic JCB transport vehicle close by, so you’ll just have to hop in that, avoid all the incredibly deadly weather, get to the remains of
Best Video Game Experiences in 2017
No. No. No I refuse.I stood by for far too long watching some of the most ludicrous awards give nominations to the weirdest games while other games went unnoticed, I stood by as Hollywood descended into bat shit insanity levels of Oscar Nomination and watched Dice and Golden Joystick award some at-best-questionable and at-worst-hilarious titles. No more. Here are my 2017 Best Video Game Experiences.Best Storytelling.PreyDivinity Original Sin IIShovel Knight: Specter of TormentRunner Up: PreyPrey was surprisingly awesome, the atmosphere alone presents an insanely thick universe for the player to live in, while the story is simple, the game provides a lot of

Honestly, Path of Exile (especially with everything they’ve done leading into PoE 2) deserves a top spot on this list. The dark, gritty art style is incredible, and the lighting engine alone is a masterpiece. When you're running through a damp, dimly lit dungeon and your skills light up the entire screen with realistic shadows and reflections, it looks better than most modern triple-A games.
The only downside to the game looking this beautiful is that when your build gets chaotic and the screen fills up with hundreds of exploding monsters, it can get incredibly intense. To actually survive those gorgeous, high-density maps without constantly dying, you need a seriously optimized character.
That’s why so many players, myself included, eventually look to buy Path of Exile items or high-tier gear on trade markets just to get our defenses up. Having the right build lets you actually appreciate how incredible the game looks at max settings instead of staring at a 'You Have Died' screen every two minutes though
