Retro Dose #27 - Chrono Trigger
In the near future we could spend some time again with the good old SNES. With this Retro Dose, we will try to alleviate the pain if a specific title is missing. With a recent announcement, Nintendo has unveiled its new "SNES Classic Mini Retro Console", which is now ready to go with pre-orders, and with a little luck this time more than ten people will get it. As was the case with the previous NES Classic Mini, SNES will also feature a collection of some of the best titles of that generation, but many now argue that one of the necessary
Retro Dose #26 - Ape Escape
Come with us into a Retro Dose in which a Sony classic from the ancient PS One days demonstrates how to use mushrooms to avoid bananas and capture the silly monkeys using a net.Today we take it for granted that every honest controller must have two analog sticks. But if you go back to the past, you might be surprised by the fact that the first Playstation console has actually launched by this way of control. Only a few years after the PSX had already won the world, a well-known Dualshock controller, the one with the possibility of vibration and two
Coming Soon 09/2017
We survived the heat and summer games drought, and I guess we will endure this autumn. Fortunately for every gamer, the ninth month opens the hunting season for some of the most anticipated games this year.Do you smell the autumn? Neither do I - video games still do not offer an olfactory experience. But in autumn, we feel the stampede of games. Six sports simulations arrive this month, and we can add to them the seventh, racing game Project CARS 2.This month will be special for exclusive games - PC platform counts significant Divinity: Original Sin II and Total War: WARHAMMER
Retro Dose #25 - Monster Rancher
Here's a game that many do not know, and could be liked by Pokemon fans. Plus, something very interesting happens when you eject a disc during the game. Lesson from Gaming History, People!Do not let your name frighten you, I know that this "Monster" part might sound awful for some but Monster Rancher is slightly more inclined to Pokemon, but unlike the RPG genre, this is actually a simulation of life and concern about various "animals".As it has gained 17 extensions and iterations for almost two decades, I will only hold the first one that Tecmo released in 1997 for PSX.
BRINK is now free on Steam
A fast-forgotten multiplayer shooter from 2011 has become completely free to play on Steam. The multiplayer shooter genre is so crowded that even some expensive projects fail to be dominant in the market. An example of this is Bethesda's shooter called BRINK, which came out in 2011 and was forgotten the same year. Why do I mention it now? Well, Brink is not completely forgotten and there may still be hope for him. When I say free it means that it has switched to a free-to-play model and will be free to play until further notice. The good news is that (yet) it

Honestly, Path of Exile (especially with everything they’ve done leading into PoE 2) deserves a top spot on this list. The dark, gritty art style is incredible, and the lighting engine alone is a masterpiece. When you're running through a damp, dimly lit dungeon and your skills light up the entire screen with realistic shadows and reflections, it looks better than most modern triple-A games.
The only downside to the game looking this beautiful is that when your build gets chaotic and the screen fills up with hundreds of exploding monsters, it can get incredibly intense. To actually survive those gorgeous, high-density maps without constantly dying, you need a seriously optimized character.
That’s why so many players, myself included, eventually look to buy Path of Exile items or high-tier gear on trade markets just to get our defenses up. Having the right build lets you actually appreciate how incredible the game looks at max settings instead of staring at a 'You Have Died' screen every two minutes though
