Retro Dose #14 - Gex
Remember Gex, the green lizard in the nineties mixed between Sonic and Super Mario? Today's Retro Dose is here as a small reminder of him.It seems that soon we will finally welcome back one of the most popular furry mascots of Sony Playstation - Crash Bandicoot, which is what got me thinking about what other mascots we had before. While Sega's Sonic is pretty much still alive, and Super Mario is still the most recognizable face of gaming, in their earlier times there was another competitor. I'm talking of course about Gex - the green lizard who in 1994 began to
OP News - 04/06/2017 Fortnight Edition
Square Enix - More Hitman and New CollaborationFollowing on from last editions news that Square Enix is looking to sell IO Interactive, it spoke up about the Hitman franchise. Square Enix president Yosuke Matsuda, when quizzed for more information on the split, said "Because the firm is engaged in the development of Hitman and other renowned titles, we are negotiating with prospective external investors capable of ensuring that these titles carry on." This implies the series could continue either in-house, with a separate studio or even with IO Interactive, just on a freelance basis. There has also been confirmation of "a new
Retro Dose #13 - Magic: The Gathering - Battlegrounds
In this Retro Dose we remember one of the many attempts to transfer the popular card game Magic: The Gathering into a three-dimensional environment. If you, like most of us, spent your life on this planet, you probably overheard at least something of the mega popular card game Magic: The Gathering in which two or more players clashed using various spells and monsters. Big part of the game is to collect the cards and making a deck while the second step is the search for your opponent, and only the third is playing cards.Such obstacles are often the reason why many people
Retro Dose #12 - Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater
In this Retro Dose we remember the good old days of Tony Hawk series before the wheels of a simple, but seriously fun game ended in shit.Let me tell you a short story. 20 years ago, there was one kid who I'll call Greg. You see, little Greg was thinking that all sports video games suck so he didn't care for them, because why spend time playing something that you can play during PE? His favorite video games were those which offered imaginative adventures or put him in interesting strange situations in which you would never find yourself in an everyday
Retro Dose #11 - Nox
A decent game like Nox may not have had a chance against Diablo 2, but nevertheless it is worth recalling this forgotten RPG gem.In 2000 Electronic Arts released an isometric action RPG for PC from developers Westwood called Nox. Nox has put us in the role of a modern man who got teleported ,under mysterious circumstances, from his armchair to a parallel dimension inhabited by evil wizards and the walking dead. You can choose from three classes, each with its own separate story and ending even though they all revolved at the same locations, just in a little modified order. At

Glad to hear! The rewind feature is a great idea, but, unfortunately, we rejected it in the early stages of development. Not sure if it was the right decision : )
Your article helps with understaning what impression the game makes. Thanks and good luck you too with your efforts!

Thank you for the compliment, I have enjoyed this brain-teaser quite a bit, well done! Curious to see what those ideas will be, I'm hoping one of them to be the rewind feature. Good luck for the launch!

Thank you. I'm sure you could probably tell from reading the article, but Out of Sight is a game that feels particularly personal for me, partly due to my state while playing it, but also because I had been waiting for a Prey sequel for years and will likely be waiting forever.
I hope I was able to keep my objectivity - I tried!
I would love to return to Prey sometime for a review.
I'll have to see if I can track down a copy when I'm done with my current projects.

As someone who also loved the original Prey but tried hard and failed to enjoy the 2017 release (not a bad game, just not for me), I thought this article was really well written. Maybe one day you'll consider doing a retro review of the original?

UPDATE: There are now 100 products in the Trove. Of course, the majority of these are smaller or novelty titles, as there's no way to purchase OP points and fraud up to now basically cut away the little profit we made from things like quests or ads, they're essentially reskinned giveaways, so there's only so much we can list for "purchase" there.
The store will include both Trove and standard products, so is the place to look for any more premium games you might want - but again, as per the article, this is majorly being stripped back and will hold limited titles moving forward.September 20, 2023 -

The Trove had already been cut back, the store is where the bulk of the work needs to be done as this can't be done automatically like we could with the Trove.
That said, we expect to be able to add more to the Trove once the store work has been completed so it should actually increase a little.
