Violating a country's social and ethical rules could get your game banned too. Out of 20 popular online games submitted for review to the Online Ethics Review Committee established by the Chinese government, 11 were instructed to corrective action to address the committee concerns. 9 of those 11 games failed and are now banned in the country.According to a Reddit Thread documenting the review process of this committee. The games on the list are League of legends, Fortnite, PUBG, Overwatch along with many popular titles produced by companies like Tencent and NetEase. Riot's games "overly revealing female characters" and “inharmonious chatroom”,

Just when you think the Mass Effect series is out, Bioware says that they're not quite done with the franchise and hope to make more games in the series. In an interview with Polygon, Mark Darrah, the executive producer Anthem and the Dragon Age series, says that Bioware is "definitely not done with Mass Effect." There’s a lot of stories to be told," Darrah told the website. "We could pull on the threads we put down with Andromeda; we could pull on threads from Mass Effect 3. There’s a lot of interesting space to be explored."Casey Hudson, the executive producer of the

Airships: Conquer the Skies Review

Feel the wind in your face and smell the smoke from the engines!   Load the ammo and take whats yours!  Well that is if your ship can get off the ground.   This is a 2d side view build-a-airship battle game. Your simple goal is to destroy other ships. However if you do the campaign this is not an easy task, the AI is better then you might think and their designs are good as well, unlike some other games of this theme that I have tried before. A nice thing is the maps seem to be auto generated, so you wont see

Ancestors Legacy Review

Carve a bloody path through the Middle Ages in Ancestors Legacy! A blend of some of the best RTS games in the last decade with a medieval spin that puts classic triple-A strategy back on the map and offers a must play experience for the fans of the genre.RTS games are a rare breed these days, more so in the AAA category. Besides an occasional Total War game, fans of the genre are mostly left starved of a good tactical experience. Well, I'm glad to announce that Destructive Creations studio is about to satisfy that hunger. A studio best known for

Games Releasing: February 2019

So with January about to come to a close with the (finally) release of Kingdom Hearts 3, here are a few picks of titles arriving in February of 2019! 1. Away: Journey to the UnexpectedReleases: Feb 5 (PS4) Feb 13 (PC), Feb 7 (Switch), Feb 8 (XB1)When I first saw this in the Kinda Funny Games Showcase awhile back, I was taken back to how colorful and cool this looks. It is a first person RPG with Paper Cut looking characters that remind me a bit of Dragon Quest mixed with Paper Mario. This one features Rogue-Lite elements and a funny

Anthem VIP Demo Impressions

So I got to spend some time with the Anthem VIP Demo, which was available for the past few days and came out pretty mixed on it. First off, I should mention a big note: I was one of the users that continually had the Infinite Loading Screen Error and thus didn't experience everything it had to offer - this is mainly an impression of what is readily available as well as the combat system and movement. So right from the get go I have to say, the game looks downright beautiful. The Hub world has a lot of shine to it,

Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition Review

The Tales Of series of games almost always present themselves on creative, but cliche'd writing. Many regard Vesperia as the crowning jewel of the franchise, but is this really the case? My answer is a resounding "Yes" but not without a couple flaws that may make or break the game for some. Right off the bat, we're introduced to one of the most likeable characters in the franchise, the ever so blunt protagonist that goes by the name of Yuri Lowell, a resident of the Lower Quarters in a place called Zaphias, a city that has a rough divide between the

Games in 2019 - RPGs

In 2019, we will take on the role of researchers, rangers, saviors and detectives, and in doing so we will visit some truly interesting worlds. It could be said that 2019 won't be the year of high-budget RPG projects. During it, we are unlikely to play Cyberpunk 2077 and Starfield, and we should not expect either Dragon Age 4 or The Elder Scrolls 6. However, RPG games in 2019 have one consoling fact - most of them take place in new worlds, which in translation means that we expect a bit of originality and some fresh ideas from them. Here are the

Gore Tech's evolution in video games.

Gore, video games have always been associated with the most visceral presentation of it even more so than movies at times due to it's interactive nature, but the actual tech used by games in order to develop a sense of tension and blood splattering violence has not always been incredibly convincing, with a few notorious leaps in progression from time to time.Resident Evil 2 Remake appears to be another great leap in the right direction.Let us not forget the earliest examples of "Gore" in games like the original Mortal Kombat, while at the time it sent adults into a frenzy and

Retro Dose #32 - Pokemon Stadium

The move of the ultra-popular Pokemon franchise to the 3D world was a big step for a great series of games, but also for a powerful N64 console. It has been a long time since Pokemon ruled the world. Thanks to the recent appearance of Pokemon GO, it seems to us that they will remain relevant for a long time. Of course, it is worth mentioning Nintendo's support for the franchise because if it didn't exist, the Pokemon probably would not be half of what they are.Although most of the Pokemon games have difficulty evolving, we will recall their biggest step so
